Whole Food No Bake Energy Bites
The following is a recipe for a no bake energy bite. This recipe came from Theresa Houghton via Nutritionfacts.org. There are recipes all over pinterest for every variation possible. I like these because there are minimal ingredients and they provide the right amount of sweetness and chocolate that I crave with the added bonus of nuts and fiber. Eating just one or two does the trick. A better choice than a cookie!

In a food processor add:
1 cup pitted dates (cut with scissors)
1 cup whole rolled oats
¼ cup raw walnuts
¼ cup raw pecans
¼ cup seed/nut butter (I use almond butter)
2 TBSP cocoa powder
Process until everything is mixed up and add a bit of water (1-2 TBSP) if needed to add moisture so you can form balls.
Form into approximately 16 small balls and store in a covered container in the fridge.
